Embed Vimeo video using HTML

Using Vimeo instead of YouTube to embed videos on WonderPages has some advantages because you can style the behavior of the player like hiding related videos, hiding the shareable link and much more.
To do that you just need a PRO or Business account and one minute to create your embed link.
  • First, log in to your Vimeo account,
  • Then select the video which you want to embed.
  • Click on the “three dots” icon on the lower right corner.

  • A menu appears; there you have to select “Embed”.

  • Now you can exactly customize the embed/playback options for the video in order to make it fit your needs. A detailed explanation of all options can be found here or here.

  • Click on “Embed Code” on the top-right corner

  • Then click on “Copy” in order to copy the code to the clipboard.

  • In a next step switch to genARate Studio.
  • Select HTML augmentation symbol from the list of content types on the left.

  • Then click on “CONTENT” tab on the right panel

  • Scroll down to HTML section

  • Paste your code and click “Run”

  • Here is an example with the embed code without changing any preferences in Vimeo.

  • When ready click “Save

Extra Tip:

If you’d like your embedded video to autoplay or loop you can add the following parameters into your embed code:

  • loop=1
  • autoplay=1

If you have more than one video autoplaying on a particular page, you will also need to include this parameter:

  • autopause=0

So, for example, if you were embedding two autoplay, looping, videos on a page, the embed code for each would look like this:
src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/xxxx?autoplay=1&loop=1&autopause=0"
